The price of each course they do is completely different as it depends on the level of the qualification and how much training you are given. They do a Level 2 gym instructing which costs £499 and only lasts 5 days if you include a day for the assessment, whereas a Level 3 sports massage course costs £1,199 and lasts 7 days for practical and a day for completing the assessment. If you want to save money they do packages which allow you to gain more than one qualification and overall save money as you’re not paying for each one separately but as a bundle. They provided for main packages although if you contact them they can customise you your own package to fit your needs; the four packages are a basic personal training (pt) package, an advanced pt package, premium+ pt and premium+ pt & massage package. At the end of the advanced personal training package you will have a Level 2 in gym instructing and level 3 in personal training, plus 3xCPD qualifications. Whereas with the premium+ pt package you will end up with a level 2 in gym instructing, a level 3 in personal training, a level 3 in exercise referral, 3xCPd qualifications and a day of first aid. Being a personal trainer means you need good people skills as you’re always dealing with clients and good organisations kills. You will need to talk to clients about setting goals and work out their fitness level. You would need to give them advice on health, nutrition and lifestyle changes, help them with their workouts and make sure to record their progress. To do this job, beforehand you will need to have first aid training and get public liability. The hours you work will all depend on when your clients are available, so these hours will vary a lot each week, you will mostly end up evenings and weekends. There is no set salary as they can earn from £20-£100 and hour depending on experience, skills and if they work for a gym or are self-employed.
